“The Spirits work through my Hollow Bones.” - Chief Fools Crow

Chief Fools Crow was the Ceremonial Chief and Spiritual Leader of the Teton Sioux, consisting of seven bands (tribes) of the Sioux Nation. He was an iconic spiritual leader and medicine man. During his mortal lifetime, he performed powerful healing ceremonies for individuals who came to be treated by him from all parts of the world. It was well known that he had four hundred and five spirits overseeing his “Yuwipi” ceremonies and medicine work. He and his wife Fannie Afraid of Hawk once hung the portrait featured in this fundraiser on his living room wall. Before he passed, he handed this, by renowned artist David Humphreys Miller, painting to his grandson (Dik Darnell - Lakota Cante’) and said: “Grandson, I want you to have this painting and someday use it to help our people.” That day has arrived.

Any donor giving an amount greater than $20,000 in support of The Four Winds Foundation and Lodge of the Great Spirit’s humanitarian efforts, will receive a full-scale high resolution digital print of this priceless painting of Chief Fools Crow. Additionally, a “one of a kind only” NFT copy of the original is available to any donor bidding $20,000 or more in cryptocurrency.
